Install a 60 mm cable grommet
Drop-in fit for a standard 60 mm desk or benchtop cutout. No screws, clips, or multi-part extrusions — outer in the hole, insert lifts for plugs.
Cutout
Bore or cut a clean 60 mm hole. Barrel OD is 59.5 mm, so the outer drops in without forcing.
Flange OD is 65.5 mm — it sits on the top face. Cable pass-through (ID) is 53.5 mm, so plugs clear.
Height under flange
18 mm under the flange (overall height including the 2 mm flange). Barrel depth below the flange is 16 mm.
Check clearance under the desk or benchtop — drawers, rails, and cable trays — before you order.
Insert in / insert out
Each grommet is two machined parts: a flanged outer that sits in the cutout, and a removable inner insert with a cable slot.
Drop the outer into the hole. Lift the insert to pass plugs through, then seat it flush. Same motion every time you add or remove a cable.
Tools
For timber: a 60 mm hole saw or CNC circle is typical. A jigsaw works for a carefully guided circle. Keep the cut square to the face so the flange sits flat.
Deburr the underside lightly with sandpaper or a deburring tool. Wipe dust before you drop the outer in — grit will scratch a polished face.
Tips for joiners
Mark centres from the finished top face. On veneered tops, score the face first to reduce breakout.
If the top is thicker than the barrel allows, note the 16 mm depth under flange — you may need a counterbore or a thinner section at the hole.
Spec both finishes on one project? Order the sample pair first, then lock brass or aluminium for the run.

Finishes
The install is identical for polished brass, aged brass (antique brass patina on solid metal), and aluminium — same 60 mm cutout and two-part drop-in.
