Materials
Solid brass — machined from solid brass stock. Smooth polished face; quieter patina with use. Not plated zinc.
Solid aluminium — machined from solid aluminium stock. Cooler tone; identical machining and drop-in fit.
Finishes are as-machined / polished metal — no paint or plating to wear through. See brass vs aluminium when choosing.
Drop-in fit
Two parts: flanged outer in the cutout, removable insert with a 12 mm cable slot. Lift the insert to pass plugs; seat flush again. No screws or clips.

One-off and volume
Buy one piece from the shop, or larger runs for a project. Brass and aluminium are both stocked; the sample pair is the easiest first order when you want both finishes in hand.
